About Intrect
Intrect is an audio research and software company based in Seoul, Republic of Korea. It builds ArtifactNet, a forensic detector for AI-generated music, and real-time plug-ins that remove the artifacts AI music generators, stem separators and lossy codecs leave in audio.
What Intrect makes
AI-music detection through a free online demo, an API and batch analysis. A score is evidence for review, not proof of authorship.
A VST3 / AU / CLAP plug-in that reduces watery textures, smeared sustains and codec residue in AI-generated music, separated stems and lossy files.
A real-time leak gate that removes bleed between stems from Demucs-style separations without touching the musical content.
A dynamic resonance suppressor for narrow ringing peaks. Pure DSP, no model inference.
Free real-time harmonic, percussive and residual separation for macOS. It processes audio locally.
Research behind the products
The detector is described in ArtifactNet: Detecting AI-Generated Music via Forensic Residual Physics by Heewon Oh (2026, arXiv:2604.16254). Its evaluation protocol is published separately as ArtifactBench: Lineage-Aware Evaluation (arXiv:2609.23550), with the dataset on Hugging Face and the evaluation code on GitHub. ArtifactNet's developer also authored the evaluation, so read it as developer-authored research; both papers state their methods and limitations.
Measured comparisons are published as dated Artifact Observatory field reports. The first runs eight public AI-music detectors on one 2,104-file test set. Benchmark figures on intrect.io are measured by Intrect on ArtifactBench, not copied from third-party lists.
How Intrect publishes claims
- Field reports state their partition, threshold, date and important caveats. A new model, dataset partition or correction gets a new reviewed date and a change note.
- A detector score is evidence for a person to review, not an irreversible verdict about who made a track.
- Audio quality and detection are separate questions. A cleaner sound is not proof of human authorship, and cleanup does not promise a lower detection score.
- Submitted audio is never published or indexed without explicit permission.
