To reduce watery or metallic artifacts in an existing Udio file, work from the earliest and least-compressed copy you have, place artifact removal before final delivery encoding, and monitor the removed signal. A static high-frequency cut can hide brightness, but it also cuts healthy cymbals, consonants and air. The useful distinction is whether the unwanted sound stays at one frequency or moves with the music.
What Udio artifacts sound like
There is no single “Udio sound,” and not every unusual texture is damage. Still, several repeatable symptoms are worth checking:

How to clean an existing Udio track
- Keep the earliest copy unchanged. Process a duplicate so you can always return to the source.

What not to do
Do not stack steep high-frequency cuts simply because the problem sounds bright. That can hide the metallic layer while making the master dull. Do not treat intentional chorus, saturation or formant processing as an error. Artifact removal should improve a source while preserving its production choices, not normalize every unusual sound.
