# de-artifact — product fact sheet

## Description

de-artifact is an audio restoration plug-in designed to reduce watery textures,
smeared sustains and codec residue in AI-generated music, separated stems and
lossy-compressed audio. It combines harmonic/percussive separation with a learned
spectral mask and runs inside a compatible DAW. Results depend on the source and
settings; it cannot recover irreversibly lost information. It is not a stem
separator or an AI-music detector.

## Controls

- Independent harmonic and percussive reduction.
- Eight factory presets, including Vocal.
- Four-band emphasis EQ and dynamic resonance suppression.
- Latency-compensated Bypass and a Residual monitor to audition removed material.

## Compatibility

- macOS 11 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel: VST3, AU (Audio Unit), CLAP.
- Windows 10 version 2004 or later, x86 64-bit CPU with AVX2 + FMA: VST3, CLAP.
  Requires the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015–2022 x64 runtime.
- 8 GB RAM; a compatible plug-in host is required.
- No AAX, Linux build or standalone application. AU is macOS-only.
